My-Lee: Original Drawing

As you can see the main part of the drawing is completed. This is not done via the computer or photoshop. The old school way is a whole lot more gratifying because of the bond that is created while breaking the image apart section by section. I love getting in the zone when I draw.

It seems that the more I let go of the pencil the faster the lead is left on the paper. Everyone’s eye is different . . . this is how I see My-Lee. This is only the first step in the process.

My-Lee the White Tiger

We are so excited to finally be able to create My-Lee in leather. My- Lee lives at the Nashville Zoo and for years we've been visiting her. Her calm confident swagger is truly something to see as she moves about her habitat after awakening from a nap. For three years we took pictures of her before getting this one. We got this shot as she lifted her cool stare to the camera and snap!

For us, she's not only a beautiful subject but a symbol of confidence and focus...

making her an inspiring start to 2011!
